My Comfort Comes

In the bright beams of sunrise

Piercing the crisp morning air

In the call of birds singing

Sweet songs of love

In the gentle dew that glistens

So fresh and cool

In the brush of a gentle breeze

Like a baby’s breath, soft

In the bright noon day sun

Its warmth, soothing my bones

In the quiet slumber of an afternoon nap

I awake refreshed and calm

In the cooling of the evening

The day slows down

In the golden orange and velvet sunset

I see the Gods great care forever

In the fading light to darkness

I welcome peace and rest

In the dark of night in sleep

I sense and feel His comfort

I lie my head on the gentle lap

of my guardian angel

And In safety and comfort I stay,

till I rise again another day.
