When I let it all pass me without a care

There is lost opportunity to do and to say

I will not be love or feel love so rare

A beat skipping slightly when ere we’re apart

Whispers a thought of loving kindness to relay

In my weakness, when I think no one is there

When I think there is no chance left for me

A light breeze reminds me of God’s presence

And the gentle touch of a loved one helps me see

In my doubt I wonder if I ever will know

Or feel the gentleness of God’s love

Just then I am lifted up in wonder

At the strength of faith in your smile of love

In an innocent glance from a child

Are the eyes of an Angel on earth

Would that I could see through them
