And Yet

You sent us Your commandments of love

To teach us clearly how to live Your plan

And Yet

We have replaced Your laws with our desire

And replace Your plans with our own

You are the creator of all things seen and unseen

All things of time and space and some still undefined

And Yet

You know all the hairs on my head one by one

And in fulfillment of the promise sent Your only Son

We have turned away from You since creation

Your prophets warned us and called us back

And Yet

From Your covenant You never waivered

Promising and sending us the Savior

You know my heart Lord and You know my name

Help me to follow Your word

By knowing and sharing Your love

Help me live in this world as I must

And Yet

In how I live, not be of it
