Fulfilled in Your Hearing

“Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing”

As it was foretold in ancient times

It has come to pass

Happening in soon coming days

Not as man expected,

Different in so many ways

Fulfilled in every way

In surprising form and size

In a baby human yet divine

According to His holy plan

In His chosen place and time

Brought forth to be like us

Bearing the weakness of all humanity

Shouldering all our burdens

Sharing our joys and sorrows

Reopening heavenly eternity

A child yet Lord,

A servant yet King

A man yet God

Oh incredible paradox

Your praises I Sing

From the mountain He promised

As written forever of old

To be with us, in all, forever

As His holy Word has always lived

It is fulfilled as told

Help me to fulfill my promise

To live as you have designed

To inspire others through Your grace

To live my life true and honest

To find fulfillment in Your Holy face
