Looking into the mirror of my heart

Do I see the many images of Him?

Images of love and patience and forgiveness

As others see me and experience my heart

Does my heart’s mirror reflect Him

To everyone I meet

Or is He held fast inside?

Through my heart’s eyes,

Who do I see?

Do I see Him in my neighbors?

As I feel their need, their pain

I hope to see clearly with love into their hearts

Is mine clear and open to receive His love?

Can others feel and see His love in me?

Looking through my eyes

My soul’s window

I look for Him in all I meet

His face, His mind and His heart

Can others see His eyes in mine?

Is God’s love in my heart to be seen

In how I care and how I love?

Is His love seen in my heart by others

As I see it when I look at theirs?

Is His love in my eyes to be shared?

Or is it hidden down deeply within

Locked up tightly

Not be released or shared

Nor ever even seen in my eyes?

Who do I say He is?

Who do they say I am?

Do I know Him

As He knows me?

Does his heart live in me

Do others see Him in my eyes
