Your Words

“Heaven and Earth shall pass away

But my words shall not pass away”

All things of earth and sky

And all that lives below

All things of sea and land shall pass

Things seen and those unshown

All time and space and thought will end

Before His Word shall pass

All created things will no longer be

Yet His Word will always last

You, the Word, God made man

Have given all to me

In living and in dying both

All to set us free

All that is and is to be

Will cease to exist in time

But Your Word as truly given lives on

In this place I considered mine

May this gift from You, of Yourself to us

In Word sent to teach and to call

Be a blessed gift of love divine

Bringing truth and meaning to all

May I bring Your Word to all I meet

Your living Word forever true

And live each day according to your Word

As You know me, may I know You.

May I follow Your Word and live it out

As I walk quietly through each day

And bring it to others in need

In what I do and say.
