Rev: 21: 1-5a
“Behold I make all
things new”
In the darkness of doubt
In my times of weakness
When I am lost
And all seems hopeless
Just then
In the full depth of darkness
In time of despair
When all hope is gone
As my prayer reaches full strain
Rendering me weak with worry
When I have no where to turn
And wonder what more I can pray
Just then
In the fullness of my human frailty
Drained and empty of all reason
Throwing myself on His mercy
Surrounded on all sides by the evil
one
Tempting, baiting, twisting all
Pulling me toward Him
Wanting me to respond without asking’
To come to His comforting arms
And His promise.
When all is torn down and broken
Scattered about like leaves in the
wind
No longer finding order nor truth
He comes
As He promised, so long ago
To be with us until the end of time
In the least expected time and way
He comes
To gather my pieces up and heal
To comfort and console
To do as He foretold He would do
Behold He makes all things new
