At times I wonder

How blessed I am

To have a friend like you.

A friend with smiles

With tears and sighs

A one who tells me true.

A friend who’s there

To be and stay

With me when I am blue.

When life is hard

And time seems long

You’re presence good and true.

You need not look at all too far

Please live without a doubt,

My love, my friend,

Is there for you

Within and not without.

In times of trouble

You’ll find me there

With heart and eyes so kind.

In times of fun

We’ll smile and care

Pure joy in friends we’ll find.

Our best friend Jesus

Showed so clear

We see Him here each day.

Even birds of the sky

His care does show

Much more for us today.

His presence is so near.
