Looking Deep Inside

I find deep within, feelings of loss

Yet measured in time by gain

In memories of what is gone

And in celebration of what remains

I uncover feelings of pain

Yet new strength in place of injury

In the wholeness healing brings

And in the strength renewed to me

Yet the joy brought in this remembrance

In the solace brought in time

Speaking to me in times of trial

From words written on my heart

Guiding; prompting me away from denial

I find love planted and grown over time

Love from Him who gives all

Love from those He sent to my life

Love to share according to His call

I can see His call over my life’s time

Leading me, calling me to Him

To know Him, to serve Him

To reach out from this heart called mine

I find the joy of my inmost child

To embrace, to celebrate in His love

For He has known me before I was born
