Rejoice

“I rejoiced when I heard them say:

Let us go to the house of the Lord”

For He comes who has saved us all

He, the eternal Word

Came as one of us, His creation

To all who call Him Lord

To bring a new promise

To we, the weak

To bring final answers

To the questions we seek

Rejoice in the Father’s love

A love so deep we can never sense

For He has sent forth His beloved Son

Its fullness and breadth to save us

For alone this we could not have done

The wait has ended, He’s physically here

Forever now truly present

From moment of birth as God and man

With us forever, here

Until the end of time

Rejoice and be glad

We children of God, rejoice

And sing Emmanuel

Christ with us

The eternal and almighty creator

Shines on us a light so bright

Humbling Himself to show the way

Out of darkness into light
