Really Love

Lord help me to be the self You created me to be

To shun those things which pull me away

To embrace those things which bring me close

Away from hiding and toward oneness with You

Help me see clearly Your image on the mirror of my soul

And encounter all that obscures Your truth

To see all the detail of my life’s reflection

And to reveal Your plan, my life’s direction

Help me look through the window of my heart

And see all as You have truly created it, with love

Free from anything unreal or any imperfection

And to clearly see Your face in all that truly is

Help me to peel away all layers of selfness

That I may reach inward to my pure unself

That holy unself which you intended for me

The unself I need to be ... to really be as You

For until I reach that which is true within

That original and God created self

Unencumbered by the unreal and untrue

I can not touch and give real love

May I return to the truly true

And may I become as You

As clear and straight and righteous and real

As You have always intended me to do

You alone Lord are my pure and true reality

All that is real and true from You comes

And as you created all of us to be as You

In Your likeness we are all called thus to do

As You have shown I must give my all

And share in Your sacrifice of love

Emptying myself of all that has come

And opening to all love from above

For to be really myself is to really love as You

From my heart and from my soul unrestrained

Unfettered by any covering or anything untrue

To really love with You, through You and as You
