Finding myself in times of wonder

Pondering people, and life, and love

At the speed of life; a sudden adventure

Passes quickly, as the flight of a dove

I feel God’s hand in many ways

Through many times and tears

And see His work in people’s hearts

At many times, over many years

In love I’ve find the Holy Spirit

In places I least suspect

In times and places and faces

So beautifully easy to detect

It’s the glow of grace in simple things

Done selflessly with love and peace

By those who give freely of themselves

Knowing God’s love will never cease

Thank you Holy Spirit for the gift to me

Of Your peace, and calm, and rest

Strengthen me with love and grace today

As I face each of life’s new tests

Be with me Lord; sustain me now

Send Your Holy Spirit to me

Fill me with the warmth of Your grace today

Hold me close, as close can be

To You Lord, sweet Paraclete, I pray today

Your Spirit, Your love, my song

Your peace and comfort be my support

For Your giving grace I long
