God of Quiet Wonder

Oh God of quiet wonder, I hear

Your whispers in wispy breeze

Silently moving the highest branches

Rays of Your love thru the leaves

Silently swaying with whisper of wind

Your branches bend and sway

To rhythm unknown and yet still below

I hear what You mean to say

Your breath, the wind, directs the tome

In time and tempo found

In quiet wonder I listen and hear

Your melody’s fullness abound

Scattering, glittering, yellow to gold

Your light shines from above to below

Becoming one hundred shades of green

It’s Nature’s perfect show

Oh God of quiet wonder

As Your birds slumber till dawn

In Your care, Your branches, they lodge

Safe the whole night, long.

You make the waters stand so still

Until a ripple appear

You who warms the air so sweet

Your breath, my life, so dear.

I see and hear and feel so clearly

Your voice, Your loving touch

In what there is and who we are

And in Your Spirit, love.

I stand in quiet wonder

At the gifts you have bestowed

I hear Your daily whispers

As I grow and come to know.
