There Is A Beauty

In the warmth of sunshine on my face

The smell of fresh cut grass

In the laughter of children who play and play

In long summer days that last.

In the smell of breakfast after a good night’s sleep

In an afternoon walk in the park

A noonday nap, a dream so deep

In playful pets as they bark.

In the sparkle of eyes which shine and smile

The sound of a giggle and grin

In the feeling of peace and serenity

In times of change, we begin.

In the smooth touch of an old one’s hand

The silkiness of their hair

In the wisdom of their nod, or grin

The special times we are there.

In the voice of a friend, soft and sweet

The note with a thought written free

In warm thoughts feelings of loving care

In days together we just be.

Thank you for giving such beauty Lord

In all I see and feel

In time and place and here and now

And days you will reveal.
