There’s a gift on the way

Straight from God on above

Grace straight from Jesus

Who promised us love

Who will this person be

This miracle of life

This reflection of God’s face

In eyes shining bright

Coming into our lives

Never to be the same

This child of love and life

With us will remain

A blessing to us all

With each brand new life

From birth to eternity

Forever our child

A part of us both

Of our flesh and our blood

God’s special creation

Embodiment of our love

We wait and we pray

That our child will be safe

And healthy and wise

When we see that little face

No stranger will be

This child we await

We know you so well

Already of late

One from us together

Who we can’t wait to see

Unique in all creation

As a snowflake you’ll be

We’ve loved you forever

Already it seems

And await God’s miracle

Whenever He deems

Keep our child safe

Always free from all strife
