I ache inside for what I’ve done

Yet I know in Your infinite love I remain

I am frail and weak, and made terrible mistakes

Yet with open arms You beckon just the same

The gift that I carried I sent back to You

Rejected that new life barely lived

I did not know, and I chose so poorly

Help me embrace the love You still give

That frail new life, that wonderful gift

Now close to You surely understands all

In that time I was lost and so confused

And in my pain I heard not Your call

I look back in sorrow, and can’t look ahead

Yet you took on all our sins that ever will be

The burden is heavy, I can not find peace

You offered up Your very life that we might live free

Help me find solace and peace dear Jesus

And relieve my heavy burden with Your love

I have done what I regret, in desperation…

Look softly upon me from above

Lift me up Lord, ease my pain

Let my error be forgiven

I will live my life to atone for another

And show You forever, in how I live it

Give me the grace I will need to get by dear Lord

I will look forward, not back, as I live

Grateful for the gifts that life still will bring

And embracing the love You still daily, give
