My roots are longing for You oh Lord

My branches stretch up to reach Your light

I long to grow to You and in You today

To feel Your living water, your grace

Refreshing my soul in this dry place

Along the banks of Your stream of love

I grow now, planted long ago by You

Reaching now with all my strength

In all its coolness and refreshment

The roots of my life need your living water Lord

That my faith so watered may grow

May my branches open up now to others

And stretch outward in loving embrace

Embracing all in need in this earthly place

To grow tall in faith and be rooted deep

To channel Your living water to nurture more growth
