I now know more than I did before
About people and life and me
I learned and I forgot some special things
And remembered others to be

As I look back on all those days
I see the road I took
And turn to see what is to come
With excitement strain to look

All behind has brought me here
To where I am to be
I pray that now my eyes be open
So I can clearly see

I've liked and longed and looked
For signs along the way
And follow where I see the path
To find a bright new day

For gifts and friends, I thank The One
Through Him my gift  is clear
I celebrate the past and future now
Holding values close and dear

So thank You Lord for friends and life
As I celebrate today
For this year of search and change gone by 
And give me grace to see Your way
