The Warmth of Spring

Winter ending, cold turns warm

Brown to green, and gray to blue

Seasons moving, out then in

Time comes and follows old to new.

From ice to flow, from bud to leaf,

To rain from snow, I see

Changing everywhere yet brief,

Right here, to stay, to be.

I feel your warmth my bones, so deep

Your sun, my friend, my home.

I reach and sense the rays they seep

My heart and smile are one.

Droplets so gentle they moisten and fall

New growth and life is nigh.

My soul they soften, myself they heal

From wisps of cloud on high.

Dear Lord, your warmth I seek to feel

Refresh me, be my spring.

Your hands they hold me safe and free

To your love, my life I bring.
