In the face of my life’s tribulation

Often challenged just to carry on

I’m blown as a willow in the wind

But strong roots are my faith, my bond.

Seems like there’s no easy way out

I get depressed and down some these days

I’m rocked and I really am shaken

But held tight in Your loving embrace.

I am frustrated today and so weary

Too tired, I just don’t understand

My strength is so sapped; my will so weakened

But I’m strengthened by Your steady hand.

The pain that I feel, often too much to bear

So constant, seems never to end

I wonder how much more is to be

Your comfort to me, please do send.

The future is foggy, uncertain

Nothing bright on the horizon to see

I ponder why and where and when

But In Your time, You’ll reveal it to me.

I know I’m Your precious creation

I know dearly Your love and Your care

With faith in Your plan, I will strengthen

In my spirit, I know You are there.
