Ordinary Time

It occurs to me that there is no Ordinary Time.

Time ... All time and space, have been given to us

Given freely in increments and in parameters

Given in scope and quantity in a perfect amount

For each of us, to allow all we need to live here

For our use to prepare and to frame our short lives

For a place where time and space do not matter

Time, no matter how short, is a not so ordinary a gift

With this gift You, Lord have in Your love, allowed us

Time to do right and to pray, and to err and again pray

For help given freely at only our request of You

Help for us to use ordinary time to prepare

To prepare our lives to become as the gift given

And to present it back to the Creator in gratitude

Lord, help me use this gift of Ordinary time well

To do Your will, to live it as You desire

And as an investment in the grace of eternity

For this gift of time and space which we consider ordinary

Is given that we may achieve the truly extraordinary

The gift of eternity with You for which we were created
