I wait for the day of Your coming,

This blessing of past and present time

In waiting I stay, until then I pray

That this year I’m ready, heart and mind

For the gift You gave

Is that we may be saved

And leave all evil behind

To show us the way, You came

To grace us and save us with love

To help us on our way

Perfection, from God above

This year I will try

To let troubles go by

And know Your love is enough
