Now That

“The stone has been rolled back”

Help me to roll mine back and push away

All that keeps me from Him

Now that “the tomb is empty”

Help me to leave behind what entombs me

All that keeps me from Him

Now that the angel said “why do you look for Him here?”

Help me to seek and find Him

In everyone I meet

Now that “He is risen”

Help me to rise above all the sinful ways of the world

Help me be in it, but not of it

Now that He told the women to “go and tell the disciples”

Help me to share the good word

In what I say and in what I do

Now that He has “explained all the scriptures”

And “was recognized in the breaking of the bread”

Help me to recognize Him in others

Help me bring Him to all I meet

In all I say and think and do

That others may recognize You in me
