Real Presence

From the cross came the gift
Fulfillment of covenant old
And establishment of new
Gift of Himself present on earth
Completion of the ultimate truth as told
 
Revealed by the Word made flesh
Given freely of Himself
For redemption from the fall
To nourish and give strength
His Presence as bread for all
 
Forgiveness, strength, courage to resist
Flows forth for all from this great gift
Transformed for us from things of earth
Himself, Divine, present, here from above
Really Present until the end of days
And given as the ultimate gift of love
 
But in this relationship, what about me?
Am I really present for Him as I be?
Do I live in His real presence, truly?
Am I spiritually present to others in deed?
Do others see His presence alive in me?
Do I say to all I meet, come and see?
Or do I keep Jesus incredible gift of Real Presence
Only for me?
