Letter from the author

This site is a personal ministry. I intended this to be a place anyone can visit as a source for words of encouragement, comfort, and peace. My writings and the writings of other amateur Catholic contributors I've accepted, are here for you. I hope you enjoy, and are lifted up by these words. Share these works with others as you see fit.

In prayerful service,
Deacon Andy Cirmo

My mission

I simply love to write. Until recently, it had been many years since I had written. But God does wondrous things. Because of events and people God has brought into my life in surprising ways over the last few years, I began to write again; and it feels great. Writing is a way I have found to be able to express my thoughts, perspectives and feelings about life and faith. My fervent hope is that through some of my words, phrasing and imagery, someone may be lifted up, encouraged, and brought a little closer to God. Enjoy; and share these words with someone you love.

My ministry involvement

I am a life long Catholic and writer who runs a weekly "prayer poem of encouragement" ministry to shut ins, the seriously ill and those just needing encouragement. I also run a program for Returning Catholics and an Employment Transition Support Ministry. I am a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, an Annulment Field Specialist, active in Marriage Prep and in a number of parish organizations Evangelization Core Team and the parish music ministry.

I was ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church on August 25th, 2007 by Bishop J.P. Sartain for the Diocese of Joliet, Illinois and currently serve at St Elizabeth Seton Parish in Naperville , Illinois.
